Restaurant Tusen, category winner at the World Architecture Festival Restaurant Tusen in the Swedish ski resort Ramundberget seats 125 guests. It won the "Holiday" category at WAF in Barcelona 2009. The building, sitting on a hill between birch trees, brooks and rocks, has a strong relation to the landscape in shape, design and material. Its facade is clad with birch logs. The round shape offers a view of the surrounding mountains, and the south-facing entrance area forms a protected outdoor space. Take a look at the reportage from Deutsche Welle TV.

Sami Parliament Building In 2006, we won an open international architecture competition in two stages for a new Sami Parliament. Our proposal is built on a simple but expressive shape, embracing a large outdoor space that invites activities and gatherings. The northern facade will be covered with large wooden shingles, while the southern, double facade has an outer layer of glass and an inner layer of wood.

Boston Consulting Group In 2003, BCG moved into the 18th century General Customs Building, and remodeling of the building was necessary. The corridors and office cells from the 1930´s were demolished to create modern, open and transparent office spaces. Additions - like WCs, kitchenettes, and meeting rooms - were designed as separate units, clearly contrasting with the historical environment. We tried to express BCG´s creative and unconventional, yet reliable and confident company character.

Housing, central Stockholm In 2001, we won a competition about designing an apartment building a one of the few empty sites in central Stockholm. The building adapts to its context of older buildings, at the same time as it has a modern character. The plastered street facade is undulating, with balconies placed in the "valleys". The backyard facade is clad with wood, and has access balconies of glass blocks to provide light to the private outdoor spaces.

Culture House in 18th century buildings Kulturhus Skeppsholmen is situated in two connected buildings, that have been used by the Navy since the 1730´s until they moved out in the 1960´s. These buildings were remodeled to ensure accessibility, fire safety, and technical quality. The tenants, among them Theatre Galeasen, The Modern Dance Theatre, The House of Photography, The Kurdish Library, and the Centre of Folk Culture, plan to move back in 2010. We have worked with the project from sketch design to general contract.

Pfizer Swedish Headquarters The pharmaceutical company Pfizer wanted its new office building to be humane, warm and welcoming. It has the strict exterior of a rational and flexible office building, while the interior is more playful with different materials, colours, and patterns. The colour scheme is built on colour families, creating variation and identity, and facilitating orientation. Close to the central lobby are a restaurant and a conference centre with a well-equipped auditorium and conference rooms of varying sizes.

Sånga-Säby environmentally friendly hotel Sånga Säby is a conference centre with an environmentally friendly profile. We designed a new hotel building on the site in 1999, the first hotel in Sweden to get the "Svanen" environmentally friendly label. It is oriented toward the south, to take advantage of the warmth from the sun and the view of the lake Mälaren. The building follows the shape and the levels of the terrain. All materials and construction solutions have a minimal impact on the environment.
